Textutils software is able to read aloud any text you type, you can also upload a TXT file to be read. Its main feature is that it can record your text into an audio file in Wav format. It incorporates a conversion tool so you can compress wav files generated in mp3 format. The possibilities are numerous textutils some examples:

This shareware version only reads the text you type or TXT files that you upload. The option to convert text to audio is only available in the Pro version.
