QuadSucker/News is a multithreaded news downloader that downloads four binaries concurrently 4 times faster than single-threaded downloaders. Designed to handle all kinds of binary newsgroups, from picture groups GIF, JPEG to music MP3, movies MPG, M2V, and archives RAR, ZIP, EXE where the attachments can reach hundreds of MB in size. Supports yEnc, uuencode, and base64.
Advanced built-in multi-part message assembly. Supports encrypted usenet services. Includes built-in JPEG auto-comment feature and built-in image viewer. Version 4.7 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
