Crystal Black is a Mac OS X theme with glossy black buttons and widgets, based on the legendary Cathode theme for ShapeShifter. The theme supports white text as needed for proper contrast with black buttons and dark backgrounds and provides a full set of white icons to go with the Crystal Black menubar. In addition, Crystal Black automatically draws "helper" panels using Apple's translucent-black "HUD" style. Crystal Black includes custom interface mods for many popular applications from both Apple and third-party developers. When these applications are updated, the user can easily reinstall the Crystal Black variants or uninstall them if desired. From an easy-to-use interface, users can disable Crystal Black as needed, either for the entire system or for specific applications. Other extras in CB include a handy contextual menu with a set of essential text tools (the same as in CrystalClear Interface), an ability to make all windows and views opaque rather than semi-transparent, and an option for replacing the application's name with its icon in the menubar.
