PEAK: Performance Enhancement & Acquisition of Knowledge
Objective
A mission to develop competitive enthusiasm among Maharashtra state students for:
1. Better performance in various competition / entrance / Govt jobs exams
2. Making them better employable
3. Overall development of students mindset
Area of Concern
- Current classroom teaching in school / colleges focuses merely on bookish / theoretical knowledge to help students score a higher percentage in annual exams.
- Whereas most of the competitive / entrance / Govt Jobs exams tests the students with general knowledge / intelligence / application based questions which are generally not covered in proper manner in schools / colleges.
- Eg of such exams:
1. School level exams: State Govt. Scholarship exam, NTSE etc.
2. After 12th entrance exams: NEET, JEE, NDA, CPT, CLAT, Hotel Management, Fashion-Design etc.
3. After 10th / 12th Govt Jobs Exams: SSC, MPSC, Police, Railway, Banking etc.
- Its very difficult for most of the students to prepare well for above mentioned various exams because of lack of awareness & enthusiasm for competition exams and exposure to MCQ type questions.
Solution :
Std 5th to 10th (For better understanding of rural students, whole content will be provided in Marathi as well)
1. For better preparation of various competitive / entrance / Govt Jobs exams in school itself, following subjects should be targeted.
A. Applied Maths
a) Target std 5th: Govt Scholarship Exam, Govt Jobs
b) Target std 6th & 7th: NMMS, Strong Foundation, Govt Jobs
c) Target std 8th: Govt Scholarship Exam, NMMS, Govt Jobs
d) Target std 9th & 10th: NTSE, JEE, MHCET, Govt Jobs
B. Applied Science
a) Target std 5th: NEET, JEE, NMMS, NTSE, Govt Jobs
b) Target std 6th & 7th: NEET, JEE, NMMS, NTSE, Govt Jobs
c) Target std 8th: NEET, JEE, NMMS, NTSE, Govt Jobs
d) Target std 9th & 10th: NEET, JEE, NTSE, Govt Jobs
C. Applied English (Spoken)
a) Target std 5th: Govt Scholarship Exam, Govt Jobs
b) Target std 6th & 7th: Speaking English, Govt Jobs
c) Target std 8th: Govt Scholarship Exam, NMMS, Govt Jobs
d) Target std 9th & 10th: NTSE, Professional Entrance Exams, Govt Jobs
D. Mental Aptitude / Intelligence
a) Target std 5th: Govt Scholarship Exam, Govt Jobs
b) Target std 6th & 7th: NMMS, Strong Foundation, Govt Jobs
c) Target std 8th: Govt Scholarship Exam, NMMS, Govt Jobs
d) Target std 9th & 10th: NTSE, Professional Entrance Exams, Govt Jobs
E. Current Affairs / General Knowledge
a) Target std 5th: About Maharashtra, Strong Foundation, Govt Jobs
b) Target std 6th & 7th: Strong Foundation, NMMS, Govt Jobs
c) Target std 8th: Strong Foundation, NMMS, Govt Jobs
d) Target std 9th & 10th: General Knowledge, NTSE, Professional Entrance Exams, Govt Jobs
2. As per predefined schedule, for each class, students get access of 2 sets of 5 MCQs / subject / day (50 MCQs daily) for 160 days over period of 8 months (Total 8000 MCQs)
Std 11th to 12th Science
1. For better preparation of NEET / JEE / MHCET / Govt Jobs exams along with state board exam preparation there should be focus on MCQs used to come in these exams.
2. As per predefined schedule, for each class, teachers and students will get access of 3 sets of 10 MCQs / day / subject for 160 days on Target Peak app. (4800 MCQs / subject / year)
Conclusion
If studying is more application based with focus on critical & analytical thinking development of child mind-set then foundation of student will become stronger and student can perform much better in life.
