WindAlert includes wind data from over 50,000 weather stations across the globe. See the data in multiple formats including real time "snapshots" on interactive maps and lists, as well as precision wind graphs that allow you to scroll forward and backwards in time to see what the wind did, is doing, and will do. Once you find the best data points for your area, save them in your own "wind profile" so you can quickly get the most relevant data when you return to the application. From your profile list you can create wind widgets for your device's desktop so you can watch the wind without even opening that application. Customized Wind Alerts for any station can be set up either through the application or through www.windalert.com to notify you when conditions are set that you select. Threshold settings include High and Low wind speed, gust vs. average, time of day, number of alerts, etc. Wind Alert is a powerful free service supported by advertisers.
