For the past year the Ami Social team has been programming a series of apps that move away from the Facebook and Google models for social networking. These apps aim to give users an alternative, private network from which they can approach and make new friends that are not necessarily friends of friends.

Ami (French for 'friend') is the prefix name of five brand-new social networking apps released this month. The team has spent over one year planning and designing these five apps to ensure that they penetrate and have maximum impact on their target markets. With some very unique and innovative functionality, the Ami series may prove to be a refreshing, alternative way to network and meet people using your iPhone. The versions include Ami Social, Ami Gay, Ami Lesbian, Ami Dating, and Ami Swinging: for all the swingers out there!

Ami Social is a location-based friend finder featuring some very unique and innovative features. It has a built-in game called Photo Tennis. Players risk losing their selected photos, by serving tennis balls and trying to avoid the hidden 'protective nets' set on the court protecting areas of your opponent photo. Winning a game offers the loser's picture to the winner to save as part of the loser's profile. This makes meeting new people more fun and more likely than any other electronic app available today!
