TurboCrypt Disk Encryption creates and manages encrypted virtual volumes on a computer's hard drive or on other external storage devices. To the operating system, encrypted volumes look exactly like the A: or C: drive. When a drive is unlocked, the user can access information from it just as if it were any other drive on the computer. Only the specific portion of a file that's in use is decrypted and passed on the fly to the operating system.
Keep your music and movie archives on an encrypted virtual drive. Play files directly from the encrypted drive or save them to CDs or MP3 players just as if they were stored anywhere else on your computer. New features include secure file-deletion and a secure wipe of unused disks; file encryption including self-extracting files that allow you to send encrypted messages through e-mail as attachments, even to those who don't share the same software; 512-bit polymorphic encryption; and encrypted volumes of up to 2,000 gigabytes.
