Microsoft Forefront Identity Management 2010 provides organizations with unique workflow driven solutions to manage user accounts, passwords, groups and distribution lists as well as certificate-based credentials such as smart cards, using identity-based policies that can span across Windows and heterogeneous environments. It extends the Identity Management offering by providing a family of tools that simplify the Identify Management landscape. FIM integrates with Active Directory and Exchange Server to provide identity synchronization, certificate management, user password resets, and user provisioning from a single interface.
