SciMark Drives is a pack of software quickly measure performance of drives on the operating system level to see how well it will handle single thread requests and multi-thread requests. There would be large files made. This is SciMark Software package extending to Linux operating system to measure performance of drives system on MIPS systems. It could be a good reason to make a comparison of performance of harddrives among different operating systems and architectures.
